Fanzines

"A fanzine is a nonprofessional and nonofficial publication produced by fans of a particular cultural phenomenon for the pleasure of others who share their interest." - Wikipedia

So, while reading the latest issue of Elle Uk last night there was a piece written on fanzines. I had never heard of fanzines before this so decided to do a bit more research into them. They are in a way an early form of blogging, fans talking about one particular area of interest.
Fanzines were popular in the 1970s and 80s and mainly talked about music.

The Model Fanzine

As well as thinking about my research and the content of my dissertation, the layout and presentation of the dissertation is also important. Basing my dissertation on a fanzine is one of my ideas for presenting it. I would base it more on a modern fanzine like above featuring Lana Del Ray. I think this would mix in well with the blogging aspect of my work.
